The Jewish cosmology was strongly influenced in its origins by Babylonian and Egyptian cosmologies, but never developed a clear cosmological model. However, the greater influence of Aristotelian cosmology introduced in Judaism, through the apocalyptic literature, a non-mathematical cosmological model, based on a hierarchy of qualities, which keep relations with the hierarchy of priestly purity and the hierarchy of
this way the rabbinic Judaism adapted itself to the prevailing cosmological thinking on the threshold of middle age.
